Healthy Ride Needs Your Help Picking Places for Bike Stations in Homewood and the Hill District

Healthy Ride is gearing up to bring bikes to Homewood. We need your help to map out where we should install the stations. On Friday, July 6th, we’re setting up a table at the Homewood Busway Station  at 5:30 p.m. to hear from residents and commuters.  You can find our more about the bike share program, how to use your ConnectCard for free 15-minute bike rentals and sign up for group rides. Our Homewood Community Ambassador Merecedes Howze, a parent, journalist and blogger at Pittsburgh Movie Scene Queen, will be on hand to share how you can take a trip with her biking buddies. For more information, visit our FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE.

Healthy Ride will also set up shop in the Hill District. Currently, a bike share station is located at Centre Ave. & Kirkpatrick St. We’re conducting a listening tour, starting at Bedford Avenue and Chauncey Drive (Bedford Dwellings). You’ll meet Healthy Ride Director of Operations Adams Carroll and Community Ambassador La’Vette Wagner and walk to the various stations being considered for the Hill District bike station expansion. We’ll walk to Bedford Avenue and Kirkpatrick Street by the Ammon Center, Enoch & Granville Streets by the Grayson Center and other sites that might be a great location for bikes. Please come with your questions and concerns. For more information, visit our FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE
