Meet the First 9 NEW Bike Share Stations in Pittsburgh

Let the Expansion, BEGIN!

The Healthy Ride team has been on the move these past two weeks installing stations throughout the city. Here’s a round up of the first few stations. Have they reached your neighborhood? See where the rest of the stations are dropping, here.

1. Burns White Center at 3 Crossings (26th St & Railroad St)

This was the FIRST new station. Some may have noticed bikes started showing up at this spot
Nearby: Burns White Center Attorney Offices | The Yards at 3 Crossings | Penn Ave restaurants like Savoy and DiAnoia’s


2. Butler St & 36th St

At the entrance to Lower Lawrenceville you’ll find a new station, bridging a gap between the Strip District and Lawrenceville.
Nearby: Grey Box Theatre | Burg’ers | Driftwood Oven | Espresso A Mano (a cyclists fav)


3. Butler St & 48th St

Friends in Upper Lawrenceville, rejoice! You’ll no longer have to drop off at 42nd & Butler and walk. We have a station that goes as far as Beer on Butler across the street from Allegheny Cemetery. To answer your question, yes a case of beer can fit in the basket.

4. Penn Ave & 39th

Right next to the bus shelter, this station is great for hopping off the bus and getting you just a bit further by bike. We expect plenty of 15 min free ConnectCard riders enjoying this station.

5. Liberty Ave & 37th St

You’ll see something special at this station. Most of our new stations will come equipped with this simple rent and return sign, meant to replace the solar-powered kiosks at our original 50 stations.

6. Smallman & 31st St

Below the 31st St bridge  in a new station connecting you to the businesses just off of the main drag. Residents at the 31st St Loft and commuters into the Strip may all enjoy stop.

7. 24th St & Smallman St

The Strip District got another station to fill in gaps getting riders through the Strip District along the corridor housing Pittsburgh’s favorite Whiskey Distillery.

8. Fifth Ave & Craig St

Then we moved to Oakland to drop a few stations. This much requested station is perfect for grabbing a bike and getting to class on time.

9. Bellefield Ave & Fillmore St

Skip Oakland traffic and parking. Ride to this location for access to museums, libraries, theatres, the Cathedral of Learning, and more.
