Born and raised in Pittsburgh Pa from Homewood graduating from Youngstown State University. I am currently an Operations Director at the Thelma Lovette YMCA. With a passion for health and wellness and educating people on the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. I previously only used biking as a form of fitness but now love exploring Pittsburgh from a different view and connecting others with Bike share.
The favorite part of last year’s Ambassador program was being able to connect with different organizations and exploring Pittsburgh from a different perspective. Being able to ride on routes that I never would have done without being a part of the Ambassador program. As well as stepping outside of my comfort zone and doing a onesie ride in the Strip District!
Having the experience with creating different routes, attending different events and being able to learn from the previous Lead La’Vette Wagner. Last year’s program was a new learning experience and I believe I can bring some of the previous connections into the new virtual world.
What excites me most about this year’s program is that we currently have different non profits serving as Ambassadors so I believe that it will help us reach more communities and people. I also like the fact that this group will be doing virtual rides and will be the first group to test and see how this can be used in the future.
We have a chance to change the way people use bikes for travel, fitness and leisure within the city!
