COVID-19 Update: July 5th, 2021

On June 25, 2021, The Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that the universal mask mandate will be lifted statewide starting Monday, June 28th.

“We are continuing to make progress toward stopping the spread of COVID-19 throughout the commonwealth, as many Pennsylvanians have taken responsibility for their own health and the health of their communities by getting vaccinated,” Acting Secretary of Health Alison Beam said. “Even though the universal masking order will be lifted in a few days, businesses, organizations, health care providers and other entities maintain the option of requiring employees, guests or customers to wear a mask, regardless of their vaccination status.” – You can read more about the full update here.

We at Healthy Ride take the ongoing pandemic, and our government’s recommendations very seriously. Healthy Ride has remained fully operational throughout the COVID-19 crisis, operating as an essential transportation service. We have not only followed state and local guidelines, but have gone even further to include:

  • regularly sanitizing our bike fleet and stations
  • rider education on how to use Healthy Ride safely
  • mandating remote working for office staff, single-person vehicle operation for rebalancing bikes, and 6+ feet between our mechanics team who service the fleet of Healthy Ride bikes daily

We are not making any new changes. We will continue to actively incorporate these precautions going forward as we have already done so. Vaccinated folks do not need to wear their masks, but they are still encouraged to if they so please. However, those unvaccinated are still encouraged to wear their masks!
